The gamification experience within MERCK led us to design two complementary and simple board games: one to teach the basics of the persuasion theory, and the other to teach about MERCK’s importing, selling and distribution business in general. These games called the attention of the Dean of the School of Business of the UPC (University of Applied Sciences), who was searching for new teaching methods to improve the Business Science careers.
Our team worked with different teams of teachers from different courses in order to develop: GERENCIA! a game that taught students the fundaments of management, FINANZAS! a game that taught the introductory concepts of finances, AGRONEGOCIOS! a game that taught all the basics of the agro-industrial business.
Due to the success of these learning tools, the UPC challenged us to design a game of Enterprenuering, but this time it would be sent to hundreds of schools in order to have a tournament among students in the last years of high school. Besides being a great learning tool, the game was voted the «Best Marketing Strategy of the Year» by the UPC internal business council. The experience of learning-board-game design with the UPC let us improve our creative process and we have implemented several business board games for different clients:
